Description

ALOX RA is a safe, naturally occurring, non-synthetic extract of Aloe ferox leaf powder, (including a standardised percentage of aloin-containing bitters,) which has been shown to be effective in reducing the pain and swelling in arthritic joints. ALOX RA works in a unique way. The important components of Aloe ferox for the treatment of arthritis are the anthraquinones and aloin in particular. Once in the colon the aloin is converted by certain natural bacteria into aloe emodin anthrone, the active substance. This is absorbed through the colon wall into the bloodstream and travels to the affected joint, reducing the inflammation, swelling and pain.

Dosage:

The normal dosage is 2 capsules per day, although some people may need up to 3 or 4 capsules per day. ALOX RA reduces the inflammation in small steps so it may take 3 -14 days before an improvement is noticed, depending on the severity of the condition. A gradual progressive improvement can be observed for up to 3 months, which can be maintained for as long as you continue to take ALOX RA.

ALOX RA contains NO synthetic or aspirin-like anti-inflammatory drugs that can damage your stomach and cause ulcers and cancer. It is 100% natural and does not cause any gastric symptoms.

ALOX RA:

Is safe, naturally occurring and non-synthetic.
Will not harm the stomach lining like aspirin and synthetic anti-inflammatory drugs.
Is effective in reducing the pain and swelling in arthritic joints.
Can be safely taken long-term.
ALOX RA can be taken together with other arthritis medicines, both natural (e.g. glucosamine sulphate) and synthetic. It should not normally be taken with EVAX unless you are constipated, as it already has a loosening effect on the bowels and may cause loose stools and diarrhoea. Should this occur, the dose should be reduced or divided into a morning and an evening dose, or 1 capsule 3 times daily for those taking more than 2 capsules daily. Taking more than the recommended dosage of ALOX RA may result in diarrhoea and abdominal cramping.

Pregnant women should not take ALOX RA as it may cause uterine cramping.

What is arthritis?

Arthritis is a painful, inflammatory disease of the joints of the body. Osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and gouty arthritis all display similar symptoms. The joint becomes swollen, warm and painful, especially with movement and the skin over the joint may become red. Any joint may become affected and over time the joint usually becomes damaged, stiff and immobile.

What is ALOX RA and what is in it?

ALOX RA is a safe, naturally occurring, non-synthetic treatment for arthritis, extracted from the Cape Aloe, Aloe ferox through a patented process. ALOX RA is made from free growing, non-cultivated Aloe ferox plants and is therefore free of any pesticides and has not been exposed to artificial fertilisers or chemicals of any sort. The dried Aloe ferox leaf used in ALOX RA is certified organic. The process of manufacture is carefully controlled and monitored to ensure that the effects are reliable and repeatable.
Each capsule contains 250g whole Aloe ferox leaf powder including a standardised percentage of aloin containing bitters.

How does ALOX RA work?

ALOX RA works in a unique way. The important components of Aloe ferox for the treatment of arthritis are the anthraquinones and, in particular, aloin. The aloin is an inactive substance; we know this because if we inject a solution of aloin into an inflamed joint, it does not help at all. Once the ALOX RA capsules are swallowed, the aloin travels harmlessly through the stomach and the length of the gut and eventually ends up in the colon. Once there the aloin is converted by certain natural bacteria into aloe emodin anthrone (an aglycone), the active substance. The aloe emodin anthrone is absorbed through the colon wall into the bloodstream. From there it travels to the affected joint or joints and acts on the joint, reducing the inflammation, swelling and pain. This information and accurate dosage determinations were researched by Prof. M.C. Botha and BAYLABS and the SA patents office has granted BAYLABS an exclusive patent for the use of Aloe ferox in the treatment of arthritis.
